The FE 85mm f/1.4 GM II is Sony’s second-generation portrait prime, roughly 20%
lighter and 13% smaller than the original while holding to the G Master optical
standard. The f/1.4 aperture and 11-blade rounded diaphragm give the shallow depth
of field portraiture is bought for, and the optical revisions are aimed squarely
at how the out-of-focus areas render.
