for photographers and fine art printers who need predictable color. It takes
media up to 17″ wide, prints borderless up to 17 × 22″, and accepts paper
from 0.1 to 0.7mm thick. A bordered 17 × 22″ print takes about four minutes.
Ink and print quality
An 11-color LUCIA PRO II pigment ink set, driven by Canon’s FINE nozzle
technology, produces deep blacks, smooth gradations and a wide gamut. The Chroma
Optimizer flattens the print surface to even out gloss and suppress bronzing,
particularly on glossy papers. Against the previous ink set, LUCIA PRO II adds
light resistance for longer display life, greater black density, better
separation in dark blues, and a wax reformulation that makes finished prints
less prone to scuffing when handled.
