This strap is designed to be worn across your body, draped from one shoulder to the opposing hip, allowing your connected camera to rest securely, lens down, along your hip for quick and easy access.
The Classic Retro RS-4 features a 2.9″-wide, moisture-wicking shoulder pad that comfortably distributes the weight of your gear. This shoulder pad also includes a convenient zippered accessory pocket, perfect for storing small essentials like memory cards or spare batteries. Regardless of whether you wear it over your left or right shoulder, this strap is built for comfort and efficiency. Its compact form factor is robust enough for heavy loads, and spring-loaded bumper locks can be slid along the 1.0″-wide nylon webbing to easily limit unwanted camera movement.
Secure Attachment and Expandable Options
To attach to your camera or lens, the Classic Retro RS-4 features a durable, brass and zinc-alloy CR-3 ConnectR locking carabiner. An included BlackRapid FR-5 FastenR Breathe creates a secure connection point by screwing into your camera or lens’s 1/4″-20 tripod mount. The FR-5 FastenR Breathe also has a large, integrated D-ring for seamless use with BlackRapid straps that utilize the CR-3 ConnectR.
For photographers needing to carry multiple cameras, a separately available BlackRapid CoupleR Strap allows you to join the Classic Retro RS-4 with a second compatible camera strap, creating a functional double-camera harness.
Enhanced Safety Features
The kit includes a BlackRapid Camera Safety TetheR to provide additional reinforcement for the Classic Retro RS-4 Camera Strap while in use, offering an extra layer of security for your valuable gear. Also provided is a plastic BlackRapid Lockstar Breathe Carabiner Protector, designed for BlackRapid straps featuring a CR-3 ConnectR locking carabiner. By folding over the CR-3 ConnectR, the Lockstar Breathe prevents unintentional user contact that could cause accidental unlocking. Additionally, it helps to prevent the metal surface of the CR-3 ConnectR from scratching your connected camera or lens.
