Nikon MB-D17 Multi Power Battery Pack for D500

The Nikon MB-D17 is a first-party multi power battery pack designed specifically for the Nikon D500 DSLR camera body. It attaches to the base of the camera via the battery compartment, providing an extended vertical shooting grip with a duplicate set of key shooting controls including a shutter release, main and sub command dials, and AF-ON button oriented for comfortable portrait orientation shooting without awkward hand positioning. The grip accepts either one EN-EL15 or EN-EL15a battery in addition to the camera’s own battery, extending the available shooting capacity, and also accepts eight AA batteries via an optional MS-D17 battery holder accessory for situations where proprietary batteries are unavailable. When used with an EN-EL18b battery and the BL-5 battery chamber cover, the grip unlocks the D500’s maximum continuous shooting rate of 10fps.
