The bracket attaches to the camera via a universal quick release plate at the base, providing compatibility with Arca-Swiss and other common QR plate systems for rapid camera mounting and detachment without tools. The Boomerang design routes the flash above the camera in a curved arm configuration that maintains the flash position above the lens axis regardless of whether the camera is held in landscape or portrait orientation, eliminating the need to reposition the flash when rotating the camera.
