Atomos Ninja V 5″ 4K HDMI Recording Monitor

The Atomos Ninja V is a compact 5-inch on-camera monitor and recorder aimed at filmmakers and video shooters looking to bypass in-camera compression and capture higher-quality footage externally. The 5-inch IPS touchscreen delivers 1920×1080 resolution at 1000 nits of brightness, making it usable in daylight conditions, and the display is factory color-calibrated with 10-bit processing. Input and output are handled via HDMI 2.0, supporting recording up to DCI 4K at 60fps in Apple ProRes or Avid DNxHR formats with 10-bit 4:2:2 chroma subsampling. ProRes RAW recording is supported with select compatible cameras. The AtomHDR monitoring mode renders log gamma footage with over ten stops of dynamic range for accurate on-set evaluation, and a range of monitoring tools including waveform, vectorscope, false color, focus peaking, and anamorphic de-squeeze are built in. Recording is to 2.5-inch SSD or AtomX SSDmini drives via a Master Caddy. The unit is powered by a single Sony L-series battery and constructed with an aluminum and polycarbonate chassis. Bluetooth connectivity enables remote control via the AtomRemote iOS app.
