The Polaroid SX-70 Pronto! RF is a rigid-bodied instant film camera designed for Polaroid SX-70 integral film. It builds on the standard Pronto! design with the addition of a built-in rangefinder, making manual focusing more precise and easier to achieve. Exposure is handled automatically through a built-in photocell paired with an electronic shutter, while a manual lighten/darken control allows for fine-tuning exposure in varying light. The camera features a multi-element plastic lens suited to the SX-70 instant format, along with a simple viewfinder for composing shots. A socket for flashbars or compatible electronic flash units extends shooting into lower-light conditions. As with other cameras in the SX-70 line, power is supplied by the battery built into each SX-70 film pack, so no separate batteries are required.
