The Canon EOS R6 Mark II is a full-frame mirrorless camera built around a 24.2-megapixel CMOS sensor paired with the DIGIC X image processor, positioned as a versatile option for photographers and videographers working across a broad range of subjects and environments. The camera features Canon’s Dual Pixel CMOS AF II autofocus system with deep learning-based subject recognition, providing detection and tracking for people, animals, and vehicles across approximately 100% of the frame. Continuous shooting is supported at up to 40 frames per second in electronic shutter mode and 12 frames per second with the mechanical shutter, with full AF/AE tracking maintained throughout. In-body image stabilization provides up to 8 stops of shake correction when used in conjunction with compatible RF lenses on supported bodies. Video capabilities include uncropped 4K recording at up to 60fps and Full HD at up to 180fps for slow-motion capture, with Canon Log 3 support for expanded dynamic range in post-production. The camera features a fully articulating 3-inch touchscreen LCD and a 3.69 million dot OLED electronic viewfinder. Dual card slots support both SD UHS-II and CFexpress Type B media. The weather-sealed magnesium alloy body is compatible with the full range of Canon RF and RF-S lenses natively, as well as EF and EF-S lenses via the optional EF-EOS R mount adapter.
