Item Condition & Diagnostic Notes
Mechanical Status: FOR PARTS ONLY. When this lens is mounted to a camera body and the camera is powered on, it immediately emits a loud internal grinding noise. This grinding occurs constantly, regardless of whether the camera is toggled to Autofocus (AF) or Manual Focus (MF) mode. The internal focus group or linear motor assembly has failed mechanically, and the lens cannot acquire focus or operate properly as a result.
Optical Condition: The physical glass elements are in good condition. Both the front and rear glass surfaces are clean and free of heavy scratches, fungus, or severe abrasions, making the optical block a highly valuable source of replacement glass for repair technicians.
Included Accessories: This unit is being sold bare. It does NOT include a front lens cap, a rear lens cap, or the original lens hood.
