Optical State (Internal Fungus): DEFECTIVE. The internal optical path contains visible fungus growth located along the outer edge of a middle glass element. During diagnostic testing, this growth does not appear to visibly manifest or degrade final image files under standard shooting conditions. However, under backlighting or high-contrast situations, it may introduce light softening, blooming, or loss of contrast. It is highly recommended for buyers comfortable with professional lens cleaning or those looking for an affordable field lens.

Functional & Mechanical Performance: Fully operational. The autofocus motor drives smoothly and locks focus accurately, the mechanical zoom ring rotates cleanly across its range, and the internal aperture blades snap instantly to selected values.

Cosmetic Presentation: The lens exterior is in good cosmetic condition, displaying only light surface wear, minor scuffs on the plastic texturing, and normal signs of careful handling. The metal mount bayonet and front 77mm filter threads are structurally sound.
