The SmallRig Mini NATO Side Handle & 3/8″-16 Top Handle Kit is a comprehensive dual-handle stabilization and rigging package designed to enable stable two-handed operation, smooth low-angle tracking, and versatile accessory mounting across mirrorless, DSLR, and compact cinema camera cages. By combining an ultracompact quick-release side grip with a lightweight ARRI-style top handle, this kit delivers exceptional handling control, helps distribute rig weight evenly, and minimizes wrist strain during extended handheld shooting sessions.
The included Mini Side Handle features an ambidextrous reversible design for left- or right-handed configuration, clamping quickly onto cages with the integrated NATO clamp or via the included mini NATO rail (which attaches using standard 1/4″-20 screws spaced 0.7 inches apart). It provides a 1.2-inch vertical slide adjustment range to dial in perfect rig balance and integrates a top 1/4″-20 thread and cold shoe receiver. The Top Handle (Lite) mounts securely via a 3/8″-16 ARRI-style anti-twist locating screw with dual locating pins to eliminate unwanted twisting. Constructed from durable aluminum alloy with ergonomic non-slip silicone grips, both handles comfortably support heavy rig configurations weighing up to 22 pounds. The top handle offers extensive cheese-style mounting points, including five cold shoe receivers, multiple 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 threads, and additional ARRI-style locating holes for mounting monitors, wireless transmitters, microphones, and articulating arms.
