The SmallRig HawkLock H21 Quick Release Top Handle is a rugged, ergonomic carrying and stabilization grip engineered for mirrorless, DSLR, and compact cinema camera cages. Designed to facilitate smooth low-angle tracking, secure rig transport, and dynamic handheld maneuvers, the handle mounts via an integrated HawkLock quick release NATO clamp paired with an included HawkLock H21 rail plate equipped with an ARRI-style 3/8″-16 anti-twist thumbscrew. The proprietary HawkLock notched rail system delivers enhanced mounting stability, prevents rotational twisting under load, and allows swift on/off sliding transitions across diverse shooting scenarios (note: the HawkLock system is proprietary and not compatible with standard NATO rails).

Constructed from durable CNC-machined aluminum alloy and stainless steel with a contoured, soft silicone grip, the handle provides long-lasting comfort and fatigue-free handling during extended handheld production. The mounting plate allows horizontal side-to-side sliding adjustments to dial in perfect rig balance relative to your camera setup’s center of gravity. For comprehensive accessory expansion, the handle incorporates two dedicated HawkLock H21 cold shoe mounts alongside multiple 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 threaded mounting sockets across the shaft, allowing operators to easily attach external monitors, articulating arms, wireless microphone receivers, or on-camera LED video lights.
