Camera-Based Film Scanning System – Precision Sliding Rail (5–45 cm Range), High-CRI LED Light (CRI 97 / TLCI 98, 5600K), Magnetic 35mm & 120 Medium Format Film Carriers, Arca-Type Mount with 1/4″-20 & 3/8″-16 Threads
The ProMaster Film & Negative Digitizing Kit is a complete camera-based scanning system designed to transform your interchangeable lens DSLR or mirrorless camera and macro lens into a high-speed, high-resolution film scanner. Offering superior dynamic range, resolution, and color accuracy compared to slow flatbeds and legacy dedicated scanners, this system allows photographers to digitize 35mm and 120 medium format film strips at camera-shutter speeds using modern digital sensors and preferred post-processing software.
The kit centers around a CNC-machined aluminum sliding rail featuring laser-etched scale markings that adjust from 5 cm to 45 cm, allowing precise, repeatable framing distances between macro lenses and the film carrier. Illumination is provided by a daylight-balanced 5600K USB LED backlight delivering cinema-grade color fidelity (CRI 97 / TLCI 98) across 11 brightness levels. The system includes two magnetic film holders—one dedicated 35mm carrier (fits 6 exposures) and one 120 medium format carrier (fits 6×4.5, 6×6, 6×7, 6×8, or 6×9 formats)—both engineered with transparent backing to hold film flat without fragile mechanical tabs. The entire assembly integrates an Arca-type dovetail base with standard 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 tripod threads for seamless tripod or copy stand mounting.
