GVM C360 Turtle-Base C-Stand & Grip Arm Kit (10.5′)

The GVM C360 Turtle-Base C-Stand & Grip Arm Kit (10.5′) is a heavy-duty studio support system designed for mounting lighting equipment, light-shaping tools, and accessories in professional photography, film, and video production. It’s built as a central hub for a lighting and grip setup, capable of holding softboxes, LED video lights, flash speedlites, reflectors, and other studio equipment.

The C-stand features a detachable turtle base that can be removed from the riser section for easier transportation, and can also accept a standard Junior pin for placing a light instrument or accessory low to the floor. The base uses a unique staggered 3-leg construction, with each leg set at a different height, allowing the legs to nest closely together and be positioned tightly on a busy set alongside other stands. The main riser and crossbar use a three-stage telescoping structure, adjustable from a minimum height of 4.4 feet up to a maximum of 10.5 feet, giving photographers flexibility to position lights at various heights for different shooting setups.

Forged from chrome-plated stainless steel rather than the aluminum used in many competing stands, the C360 delivers an exceptional 44 lb (20kg) main rod payload capacity, several times stronger than traditional aluminum-based C-stand designs, giving it confident support for heavy lights and modifiers. The connectors between riser sections and head grips are chrome-coated aluminum to help prevent damage and maintain long-term durability.

Included with the kit is a telescoping, 3-section steel cross arm boom with a pivoting boom arm clamp, allowing a light or accessory to be positioned overhead or at an angle away from the stand itself. The boom arm includes a rubber grip base and an integrated weight hook, and a sandbag (holding up to 10 lb) is included to counterbalance the boom and prevent it from drifting out of position once set. The stand uses a standard 5/8″ stud for mounting lighting equipment, and the complete kit weighs approximately 26.5 lb.
