The Godox GM7S is an expanded 7-inch daylight-viewable on-camera touchscreen field monitor engineered to provide directors, cinematographers, camera operators, and freelance content creators with high-precision framing, critical exposure evaluation, and color monitoring on set. Featuring a 1920 x 1200 IPS display that delivers a high peak brightness of 1200 cd/m² (nits) and a 160-degree viewing angle, the GM7S overcomes harsh direct sunlight without screen wash-out. Factory calibrated to the international Rec.709 color standard, the panel reproduces accurate, true-to-life color fidelity and supports the import of up to 25 custom 3D LUT cubes via an integrated SD card slot, allowing production crews to preview real-time creative color grades and Log-to-Rec.709 conversions directly on location.
Equipped with 4K HDMI input and HDMI loop-through outputs supporting resolutions up to 4K at 30p, the GM7S integrates cleanly into modern cinema, mirrorless, and broadcast workflows. Its software suite delivers a full array of exposure and composition monitoring tools, including real-time AI waveform, vectorscope, false color, focus peaking assist, zebra stripes, aspect ratios, and on-screen audio metering. To prevent microphone noise on quiet sets, the monitor utilizes a fanless passive cooling design housed in a rugged metal chassis that acts as a natural heat sink. Offering adaptable powering versatility, the rear panel accommodates dual Sony L-series (NP-F) battery plates for extended runtimes, alongside a 5V USB-C power input, barrel DC input, and an auxiliary DC barrel output to pass power to on-camera accessories or dummy batteries.
