DJI’s fourth-generation RS stabilization algorithm provides smooth camera movement while automatically adapting motor strength to different camera configurations. Automatic axis locks streamline setup and storage by unlocking the gimbal when powered on and locking the axes when powered off or placed into sleep mode. The RS 4 Mini features Teflon-coated balancing surfaces and a fine-adjustment knob on the tilt axis for more precise camera positioning. Its quick release system provides multiple mounting positions to make it easier to rebalance or reinstall a previously configured camera setup.
Bluetooth connectivity allows compatible cameras to wirelessly control recording directly from the gimbal. The joystick can also control compatible power zoom lenses and supported camera-based zoom functions, providing additional one-handed control while filming. An integrated OLED touchscreen provides access to operating modes, settings, and gimbal status information.
Multiple operating positions are supported, including upright, underslung, flashlight, and vertical configurations. The built-in rechargeable battery provides up to approximately 13 hours of operation and supports fast charging, making the gimbal suitable for extended production days.
