The Manfrotto FAST GimBoom Carbon Fiber (1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 Mounting Stud) is a length-adjustable extension arm designed and optimized for handheld gimbals, letting videographers achieve jib-like overhead and low-angle movements without the bulk of a traditional camera jib. It gives a single operator the ability to move seamlessly from ground level to overhead, drone-like perspectives with one simple gesture.

The GimBoom uses Manfrotto’s FAST Twist-Lock technology, unlocking via a simple twisting motion to extend or collapse the pole across three telescopic sections, reaching a maximum length of 3.8 ft. (45.28 in. / 115 cm) from a collapsed travel length of just 20 in. (51.5 cm), making it compact enough for hand luggage when not in use. A standard 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 top attachment screw provides universal compatibility with most gimbals on the market, and the arm supports a maximum payload of 14.3 lb (6.5 kg) at full extension.

Handling includes large rubber handgrips for secure, comfortable control during extended shooting, along with a protective rubber cap on the bottom to prevent damage when the GimBoom is set down on the ground. Three thread connectors arranged at 120 degrees on the top of the middle section allow for pairing with dedicated GimBoom accessories.

Build quality centers on lightweight yet durable carbon fiber tubes paired with machined aluminum components, keeping the overall weight to just 1.76 lb (800g) for comfortable extended handheld use, while maintaining the strength needed to support its full rated payload.
