Canon RF 24mm f/1.4 L VCM Lens (Canon RF)

The RF 24mm f/1.4 L VCM is a wide-angle prime for full-frame RF-mount bodies,
built to work equally well for stills and video. The f/1.4 aperture and 11-blade
diaphragm handle low light and render smooth backgrounds, and focus is driven by
a Voice Coil Motor rear focus group paired with Nano USM — fast and near-silent,
which matters when a microphone is running.

Optics

15 elements in 11 groups, including two ultra-low dispersion elements and one
aspherical element, keep chromatic aberration down and contrast high. ASC, SSC
and SWC coatings suppress ghosting and flare, and a fluorine coating on the front
element resists water and fingerprints.

Handling

• Dedicated iris ring — manual aperture control, with an AF/MF switch alongside.
• Programmable function button — assign and recall a preferred setting.
• Minimum focus 9.4″ — close enough for detail shots without a macro lens.
