Canon RF-S 7.8mm f/4 STM Dual Lens (Canon RF)

The RF-S 7.8mm f/4 STM Dual is a stereoscopic lens for shooting 3D and spatial
content on APS-C EOS mirrorless bodies such as the EOS R7, working through the
Canon EOS VR System. Its 60° field of view approximates human vision, and
footage plays back on headsets including Apple Vision Pro and Meta Quest 3.
Output covers Spatial, 3D 180° and standard 3D formats through a direct-path
optical system.

Focus

A gear-type stepping motor drives both left and right lens groups together for
quick, quiet autofocus, with Dual Pixel CMOS AF support and full-time manual
override. An electronic focus/control ring and a left-right adjustment switch let
you focus both lenses at once or the left lens alone.

Optics and build

• Nine elements in five groups, including two ultra-low dispersion elements to limit chromatic aberration.
• Super Spectra Coating to reduce ghosting and flare.
• Minimum focusing distance of 5.9″.
• 4.6 oz, extending only 1.6″ from the camera body.
