The ProMaster Quick Release Plate (Model 10493) is a precision-engineered mounting plate designed to provide secure, vibration-free camera attachment across a broad array of professional support systems. Serving as the standard factory replacement plate for ProMaster iota, Chronicle, XC-M 522, XC-M 525, and XC-M 528 tripod series—as well as the XC-MH26 and XC-M30 ball heads—it features an industry-standard Arca-type dovetail geometry. This universal profile ensures seamless interchangeability with tripod heads, gimbal heads, fluid video heads, and quick release clamps from ProMaster as well as leading third-party manufacturers.
CNC-machined from high-grade aluminum alloy with a durable grey anodized finish, the plate is fitted with an edge-to-edge, textured rubber anti-twist top pad that cushions the base of the camera body while preventing slippage and twisting during vertical portrait orientation framing. For added field security, two removable steel safety-stop screws are installed on the underside to prevent the plate from inadvertently sliding out of an open clamp. A built-in lateral slot accommodates sling-style shoulder straps or hand grips without interfering with clamp mounting, while the captive 1/4″-20 mounting screw allows tool-free tightening via an integrated folding D-ring, slotted coin drive, or hex key.
