The Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 6K (BMPCC 6K) is a compact Super 35 digital cinema camera engineered for indie filmmaking, documentary, commercial, and multi-camera production. Equipped with an active Canon EF lens mount, the BMPCC 6K pairs with a vast selection of full-frame EF and APS-C EF-S lenses, transmitting electronic lens metadata directly to the video files. The camera incorporates a Super 35 sensor with dual native ISO up to 25,600 and 13 stops of dynamic range, recording up to 6K30 (6144 x 3456) at 50 fps, 6K 2.4:1 at 60 fps, and 1080p at up to 120 fps.
Designed for flexible post-production workflows, the BMPCC 6K captures 12-bit Blackmagic RAW or Apple ProRes 422 codecs directly to internal CFast 2.0 and SD UHS-II card slots, or outputs via USB-C to external SSD drives. Key hardware features include a 5.0-inch 1080p touchscreen LCD, mini-XLR input with +48V phantom power, 3.5mm audio/timecode sync input, full-size HDMI output, 3D LUT monitoring support, and a lightweight carbon fiber polycarbonate composite body.
