Canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM Lens

The Canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM Lens is a versatile standard zoom designed for Canon EF-mount DSLR cameras. Covering a wide-angle to telephoto focal length range, this lens is well suited for portraits, landscapes, travel, events, and everyday photography. Its compact design and built-in Image Stabilization system make it a practical choice for photographers seeking flexibility in a single lens.

Featuring a 28-135mm focal length range, the lens allows photographers to capture wide compositions and tighter telephoto shots without changing lenses. Its variable f/3.5-5.6 maximum aperture provides a balance between portability and versatility, making it suitable for a variety of shooting conditions.

Canon’s built-in Optical Image Stabilization system helps reduce the appearance of camera shake, allowing for sharper handheld photographs when working in lower light or at longer focal lengths. The stabilization system provides approximately 1.5 to 2 stops of compensation, depending on the selected focal length.

The lens features an Ultrasonic Motor (USM) autofocus system that provides fast, smooth, and quiet focusing performance. Full-time manual focus override allows photographers to make precise adjustments without switching out of autofocus mode. Its internal focusing design keeps the front element stationary during focusing, making it convenient to use with polarizing and other specialty filters.

With a minimum focusing distance of approximately 20 inches throughout the zoom range, the lens offers additional flexibility when photographing closer subjects. Its versatile focal length range and straightforward controls make it suitable for both casual and experienced photographers.

The Canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM combines a practical zoom range, optical stabilization, and responsive autofocus in a convenient everyday lens. Its flexibility makes it a useful option for photographers looking to cover multiple shooting situations without frequently changing equipment.
