Canon Mount Adapter EF-EOS R 0.71x

The Canon Mount Adapter EF-EOS R 0.71x is an optical speed booster-style adapter that allows Canon EF-mount lenses to be used on Canon RF-mount cameras with Super 35mm sensors, most notably the EOS C70. The built-in optical element reduces the effective focal length by a factor of 0.71x, compensating for the crop factor of a Super 35mm sensor and restoring a field of view closer to what the lens would produce on a full-frame body. In addition to maintaining the original angle of view, the adapter increases light transmission by one full stop, effectively brightening the maximum aperture of the attached lens. Full electronic communication is maintained via integrated contacts, supporting Dual Pixel CMOS AF, automatic exposure control, lens metadata transmission, and in-camera vignette and lateral chromatic aberration correction on compatible EF lenses. A four-screw locking collar provides a secure attachment suitable for use with heavier EF optics.
