DJI Mini 3 Drone with DJI RC Remote

The DJI Mini 3 Drone with DJI RC Remote is a compact, lightweight camera drone designed for casual and enthusiast aerial photographers, filmmakers, and content creators who want strong imaging capability in an ultra-portable package. Weighing under 249g, it falls below the threshold requiring FAA registration for recreational use, making it an especially accessible entry point into drone photography. This version pairs the drone with DJI’s RC remote, a sophisticated controller featuring an integrated 5.5-inch HD display so photographers can fly and monitor footage without needing to connect a smartphone.

The drone captures stunning 4K HDR video along with 48MP stills, and its 3-axis gimbal ensures stable, smooth footage during flight. A standout feature is true vertical shooting, letting photographers rotate the gimbal 90 degrees to film vertical clips that can be shared directly to social media platforms without needing to crop or reformat footage in post. Compared to the previous generation, the Mini 3 offers improved wind resistance and extended battery life, delivering up to 38 minutes of flight time on a single charge.

Video transmission uses DJI’s OcuSync 2.0 system, providing a transmission range of up to 6.2 miles for a stable connection between the drone and remote. The DJI RC remote itself features a bright, sunlight-readable 5.5-inch FHD screen with up to 700 nits of brightness, dual-spring control sticks for smooth, precise piloting, and a single microSD card slot supporting cards up to 512GB for storing captured footage directly on the remote.

Intelligent shooting features are accessed through the pre-installed DJI Fly app, including QuickShots flight patterns such as Dronie, Helix, Rocket, Circle, and Boomerang, which automate cinematic camera movements for professional-looking results with minimal piloting skill required. Panorama modes, including Wide-Angle, 180°, and Sphere, let the drone automatically capture and stitch expansive aerial scenes. A Downward Vision System and Infrared Sensing System help the drone hover stably and fly indoors as well as outdoors, along with automatic Return to Home functionality for added safety.
