Photographers can trigger compatible flashes directly via the built-in 2.4G wireless X communication, or use the trigger to remote control Godox flashes lacking their own built-in 2.4G receiver by pairing with a separate X1R or XTR-16S receiver.

Multi-channel triggering across 32 channels helps limit interference from other nearby wireless systems, while control over up to 5 flash groups (or 3 groups in ratio flash mode with adjustable relative power) supports more advanced multi-light setups. Full TTL support includes high-speed sync up to 1/8000s, flash exposure compensation, and flash exposure lock, along with sync delay settings and a wireless shutter release function for triggering the camera itself.
