Full support for Sony TTL autoflash includes high-speed sync up to 1/8000 second, multi-flash (stroboscopic) mode, manual flash control, and flash exposure compensation, letting photographers move fluidly between automated and precise manual flash exposure depending on the shooting situation.
Multi-channel control is a key feature, with 5 groups and 32 channels available, along with 99 wireless ID settings to avoid interference from other nearby systems in busy shooting environments. An integrated scan setting function can automatically locate the channel with the least interference for added convenience. A large LCD screen, backlit along with the group and function buttons for visibility in dim conditions, displays current settings for each flash group at a glance, and dedicated group buttons paired with a relocated control wheel make the X2T-S easier to navigate than its predecessor.
Notable upgrades over the original X1T include built-in Bluetooth connectivity, letting photographers connect the trigger to a smartphone or tablet via the GodoxPhoto app to adjust flash mode, power output, modeling light behavior, and other settings remotely, particularly useful for product photography or situations where physically approaching the flash isn’t convenient. A new hot shoe locking mechanism (as seen on the Godox V1) provides a more secure camera connection, and a new AF assist light uses visible light rather than the red/infrared pattern of earlier models.
