The MagSphere 2 is the primary modifier included in this kit, transforming a flash’s narrow, directional beam into a soft, omni-directional bare-bulb light source that increases the flash’s effective surface area by over 250%. This produces flattering, wraparound light well suited to portraits and events, and the sphere can also function as a small bounce card in tighter spaces. Both pieces in this kit have been redesigned from the original MagMod generation to be smaller, lighter, and stronger: the MagSphere 2 is nearly 50% lighter than its predecessor, reducing fatigue during long shooting sessions, while the MagGrip 2 offers a tighter fit and increased magnetic strength for a more secure connection.
