The Miranda E Auto 28mm f/2.8 is a manual focus wide-angle prime lens produced for Miranda’s proprietary SLR lens mount system. At 28mm with an f/2.8 maximum aperture, it delivers a moderate wide-angle field of view well suited to landscape, architecture, interior, street, and environmental photography, with useful light gathering capability for shooting in lower light conditions. The Auto designation indicates an automatic aperture mechanism that stops down to the set aperture only at the moment of exposure, allowing the viewfinder to remain bright during composition and focusing. Fully manual focus operation covers focus adjustment directly on the lens. Miranda was a Japanese camera manufacturer active during the film SLR era, producing cameras and lenses with their own proprietary mount system.
