It features a 12.3-megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor and EXPEED image processing engine, delivering strong image quality and low-light performance for its class. An 11-point autofocus system with a single cross-type center point handles subject focusing, and a built-in body-side focus motor provides autofocus compatibility with the broad range of Nikon AF and AF-D screw-drive lenses. Video recording is available at 720p HD resolution, and a 3-inch rear LCD screen handles menu navigation and image playback.
