Optical Condition (Fungus & Haze Present): SOLD AS-IS. Inspection reveals noticeable internal haze along with an unusual, distinct line-pattern fungus blooming inside the optical block.
Performance Impact: Due to this internal accumulation, shooting with the lens will result in a heavy loss of contrast, softer fine details, and noticeable glowing or flaring when pointing toward bright light sources. It is an ideal candidate for an optical teardown project, cleaning practice, or for shooters hunting for a unique, heavily stylized “lo-fi” character optic.
Mechanical Status: The fully mechanical manual focus ring and physical aperture select ring turn properly. The universal M42 threaded mount is physically sound and highly adaptable to modern digital cameras via simple, inexpensive third-party adapters.
