The Rokinon 50mm T1.5 AS UMC Cine DS is a fast manual focus cinema prime lens designed for Micro Four Thirds mirrorless camera systems. Providing a 35mm-equivalent focal length of 100mm, this short-telephoto cine optic is tailored for narrative filmmaking, portraiture, documentations, and low-light video capture. Its fast T1.5 maximum transmission aperture enables low-light shooting and shallow depth-of-field control with smooth background isolation, aided by an 8-blade iris.

Engineered specifically for video workflows, the Cine DS series features industry-standard 0.8 MOD pitch gearing on both the focus and de-clicked aperture rings for follow-focus and lens motor integration. Dual-sided, high-contrast distance and aperture markings face laterally to assist focus pullers from either side of the camera rig. As part of the Cine DS line, its gear ring positioning is unified across the lens family to allow rapid lens swaps without re-adjusting rig accessories. Optically, it incorporates nine elements in six groups—including one aspherical element, one hybrid aspherical element, and UMC multi-coating—to control aberrations, suppress ghosting and flare, and maintain color matching across the DS lens lineup. An internal focusing (IF) design reduces lens breathing to maintain a consistent field of view during focus pulls.
