The Rokinon 8mm T3.8 Cine is a fisheye prime lens built for Canon’s EF mount system, designed specifically for video and cinema production applications. The 8mm focal length produces a characteristic hemispherical fisheye field of view with pronounced barrel distortion, encompassing an extremely wide angle of coverage suited to action sports, immersive environmental video, creative and experimental filmmaking, and skateboarding or similar action capture where the distinctive fisheye look is a deliberate aesthetic choice. The T3.8 aperture rating uses the transmission stop measurement common in cinema lens specifications rather than the f-stop used for still photography lenses, reflecting its video-oriented design intent. Declicked aperture blades allow smooth and silent aperture adjustments during a take without audible clicks, and focus and aperture markings are positioned on the side of the barrel for easier reading during video production. Fully manual operation covers both focus and aperture adjustment directly on the lens.
