Shure BLX4 Tabletop Wireless Receiver (J11: 596 to 616 MHz)

The Shure BLX4 Tabletop Wireless Receiver (J11: 596 to 616 MHz) is a single-channel, analog UHF wireless receiver serving as the command center for Shure’s BLX Wireless System, compatible with BLX1 bodypack and BLX2 handheld transmitters. Compact and portable, it’s well suited to small venues, conference rooms, and houses of worship.

The receiver offers one-touch QuickScan frequency selection, quickly searching 123 available frequencies to locate a clean RF channel in case of interference, along with microprocessor-controlled internal antenna diversity to help reduce dropouts. Up to 12 mic channels can operate simultaneously within the same frequency band, with a maximum operating range of 300 feet (91.4m). Frequency response covers 50 Hz to 15 kHz (dependent on the connected microphone), and approximate RF sensitivity is rated at -105 dBm with greater than 50 dB of adjacent channel isolation.

Handling centers on a front-panel multi-segment LED display showing the current RF frequency group and channel, along with two additional LED status indicators confirming the system is ready to operate and alerting the user if audio is clipping. Audio output is handled through one 3-pin XLR balanced output and one 1/4″ TS unbalanced output, for connectivity to PA systems, mixers, or cameras.

Build quality uses a molded ABS housing with two internal, fixed antennas, measuring approximately 7.4 x 1.6 x 4.1 in. (188 x 40 x 103mm) and weighing approximately 241g (8.5 oz.). Power comes from an included 12-15 VDC, center-positive AC/DC power adapter, and the receiver is rated for operation in temperatures from 0 to 135°F (-17 to 57°C).
