Its optical architecture incorporates two F Low Dispersion (FLD) glass elements alongside three aspherical elements to suppress chromatic aberrations, color fringing, and spherical distortion. A Super Multi-Layer Coating reduces flare and ghosting to maintain color contrast in challenging lighting. Driven by a Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM) with an internal focusing design, the lens delivers fast, quiet autofocus performance, while an integrated Optical Stabilizer (OS) counteracts camera shake for sharper handheld shooting down to an 11-inch minimum focus distance.
