Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 DC HSM Art Lens for Canon EF

The Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 DC HSM Art Lens for Canon EF-mount cameras is a high-performance standard zoom designed for APS-C DSLR systems. Featuring an exceptionally bright constant f/1.8 maximum aperture, this lens delivers excellent low-light performance and precise control over depth of field. Its versatile focal length range makes it well suited for portraits, landscapes, events, and video production.

Covering an 18-35mm focal length range, the lens provides a 28.8-56mm equivalent field of view on Canon APS-C cameras. The constant f/1.8 aperture allows photographers to maintain consistent exposure settings throughout the zoom range while producing smooth background separation and attractive bokeh.

As part of Sigma’s Art series, the lens features an advanced optical design incorporating five Special Low Dispersion (SLD) elements and four aspherical elements. These components help minimize chromatic aberrations, distortion, and color fringing while maintaining sharpness and clarity. A Super Multi-Layer Coating further reduces flare and ghosting for improved contrast and accurate color reproduction.

The integrated Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM) provides fast, quiet, and accurate autofocus performance, making the lens suitable for both still photography and video recording. Its internal focusing system maintains consistent lens dimensions during focusing, while full-time manual focus override allows for precise adjustments when needed.

Constructed with Thermally Stable Composite materials and a durable brass lens mount, the Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 Art is designed for reliable performance under varying shooting conditions. A rounded nine-blade diaphragm contributes to smooth background rendering, while compatibility with the optional Sigma USB Dock allows for firmware updates and focus adjustments.

The Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 DC HSM Art combines a versatile zoom range, exceptional aperture performance, and advanced optical construction in a professional-grade lens. Its sharp image quality and flexible focal length range make it a practical choice for photographers and videographers seeking consistent performance.
