As part of Sigma’s Contemporary line, the lens balances optical performance with a portable, lightweight build crafted from Thermally Stable Composite (TSC) material. The optical layout incorporates two aspherical elements and one high-refractive index element to limit spherical aberrations, distortion, and color fringing. A Super Multi-Layer Coating reduces flare and ghosting under harsh backlighting, while an integrated stepping AF motor provides rapid, near-silent autofocus suitable for both stills and video workflows.
