The SmallRig Camera Cage is a machined aluminum cage accessory designed specifically for the Sony FX30 and FX3 cinema camera bodies, providing a rigid protective frame and a comprehensive array of mounting points for attaching additional production accessories. Multiple NATO rails, cold shoe mounts, and 1/4-20 and 3/8-16 threaded holes distributed around the cage allow monitors, microphones, handles, lights, wireless transmitters, and other rig components to be attached in a variety of configurations to suit different shooting requirements. The cage is designed with cutouts and access points that maintain full access to the camera’s controls, ports, battery compartment, and card slots without requiring removal of the cage. The aluminum construction adds a degree of physical protection to the camera body while keeping the overall weight addition minimal.
