Optically engineered with two Extreme Aspherical (XA) elements and one Extra-Low Dispersion (ED) glass element, the lens suppresses spherical distortion, chromatic aberrations, and color fringing. Sony’s Nano AR Coating II minimizes ghosting and internal flare in backlit scenes. Focusing is powered by dual XD Linear Motors for fast, precise, and quiet autofocus tracking, complemented by an internal focus design with a 16-inch minimum focus distance. The lens features an aperture ring with a de-click switch, an iris lock switch, custom focus hold buttons, Linear Response MF, and a weather-sealed enclosure with a protective fluorine front coating.

Serial Number Status: MISSING SERIAL NUMBER. The manufacturer’s serial number sticker on the barrel has detached and is no longer present.
Aperture Ring Condition: TACTILE RESISTANCE / GRITTY. The manual aperture control ring exhibits a slightly gritty feel and sound during rotation; however, it remains fully functional across all f-stop positions.
Glass Condition: LIGHT SURFACE SCRATCHES. The front glass element exhibits light surface scratches visible under direct, focused light inspection; these cosmetic markings do not affect overall image rendering or optical output.
