The TTArtisan Tilt 50mm f/1.4 is a creative, dual-purpose perspective-control prime lens designed for full-frame Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras (also fully compatible with APS-C bodies, providing a 75mm equivalent field of view). Unlocking advanced focal plane manipulation traditionally reserved for specialized architectural systems, this lens gives photographers and filmmakers the ability to tilt the focal plane up to 8° in either direction and rotate the barrel mechanism 360° (with 90° incremental detents). This flexibility enables dramatic selective-focus “miniature” dioramas, stylized slivers of focus, and custom Scheimpflug depth alignment where foreground and background remain tack-sharp even at wide apertures. When locked centered at 0° tilt, it functions as a standard, high-performance 50mm normal prime.

Engineered with a bright f/1.4 maximum aperture, the lens excels in low ambient light and delivers pronounced subject isolation with painterly background blur, enhanced by an internal 12-blade circular diaphragm for rounded specular bokeh. The optical architecture employs seven elements in six groups, incorporating two high refractive index glass elements to mitigate chromatic aberrations, spherical distortion, and field curvature across the frame. Built with hybrid video production in mind, the rugged all-metal barrel features standard Mod 0.8 cine gearing on both the manual focus and manual aperture rings, allowing seamless integration with follow focus rigs, lens motors, and cinema cages.
