Canon EOS R8 Mirrorless Camera

The Canon EOS R8 is a full-frame mirrorless camera built around a 24.2MP CMOS sensor and the DIGIC X image processor, bringing full-frame performance into a compact and lightweight body. It shares the same sensor and autofocus engine as the EOS R6 Mark II, featuring Canon’s Dual Pixel CMOS AF II system with 4779 selectable AF positions covering approximately 100% of the frame. Subject detection includes recognition for people, animals, and vehicles, with eye, face, and head tracking available across all shooting modes. Continuous shooting reaches up to 40 fps in electronic shutter mode, making it well-suited for fast-moving subjects despite its accessible price point. The R8 records 4K video up to 60 fps with no crop using oversampled 6K readout, and also supports 4K HQ mode as well as Canon Log 3 for expanded dynamic range in post-production. A fully articulating touchscreen LCD provides flexible framing for both photo and video work. The body is compatible with the full range of RF and RF-S mount lenses natively, and EF and EF-S lenses are supported via Canon’s EF-EOS R mount adapters.
