The Olympus E-PM1 is a compact Micro Four Thirds mirrorless camera built around a 12.3-megapixel Live MOS sensor, offering a portable and accessible entry into the interchangeable lens camera segment. The camera uses a TruePic VI image processor, providing solid image processing performance across a native sensitivity range of ISO 200 to 6400. It features Olympus’s 3-axis in-body image stabilization system, which operates independently of the lens in use, providing stabilization benefit across any compatible Micro Four Thirds lens. The E-PM1 supports continuous shooting at up to 5.5 frames per second and includes a contrast-detection autofocus system with face detection capability. Video recording is available in Full HD 1080p at 30fps. The camera features a 3-inch touchscreen LCD on the rear for composing and reviewing images, with touch-to-focus and touch shutter functionality. Its compact body is designed to complement the broad range of Micro Four Thirds lenses available from Olympus, Panasonic, and third-party manufacturers.
