The SmallRig Mini Side Handle Kit is a lightweight, ergonomic handgrip designed to enhance handheld stability, control, and comfort across mirrorless, DSLR, and compact cinema camera cages. Engineered for broad rigging versatility, the kit includes two interchangeable mounting connectors—one featuring an anti-twist 1/4″-20 locating screw and another with a quick-release NATO clamp paired with a dedicated NATO rail. This dual-connector configuration allows the handle to mount securely to virtually any camera cage or rig setup.

Featuring a fully ambidextrous design, the handle can be quickly configured for either left- or right-hand operation. Both connector types offer a 1.2-inch vertical slide adjustment range, enabling operators to fine-tune the handle’s height to achieve optimal balance and center-of-gravity alignment. Constructed from durable CNC-machined aluminum alloy and composite materials, this compact grip supports heavy rig payloads up to 22 pounds. The top of the handle integrates a 1/4″-20 threaded mounting socket and a cold shoe mount, providing convenient attachment points for articulating magic arms, compact LED video lights, wireless microphone receivers, or monitors.
