The Think Tank Photo Airport Accelerator Backpack (Black) is Think Tank’s largest carry-on photography backpack, designed to make traveling easier for photographers flying internationally or domestically while offering substantial capacity for pro-level camera equipment. It’s built for photographers who need to carry serious telephoto gear while still meeting most international and U.S. airline carry-on size requirements.

The backpack accommodates two pro-size DSLR or mirrorless bodies along with 6-8 standard zoom lenses, and for photographers using large telephoto glass, it holds a 600mm f/4 lens with the body detached, or a 500mm f/4 lens attached to a gripped body. Integrated, quick-access pockets fit up to a 17″ laptop and a 10″ tablet, with a lockable zippered compartment keeping these devices secure, along with a top pocket designed for boarding passes and other travel documents.

Three robust carrying handles are positioned for easy placement and retrieval from overhead bins, while a cable lock paired with locking YKK RC Fuse zipper sliders provides added security for gear while traveling. A tripod/monopod mounting system is included, and fully adjustable, reinforced padded interior dividers let photographers configure the main compartment around their specific combination of bodies and lenses.

Handling centers on a light, adjustable, contoured harness with lumbar support and air-mesh paneling to help keep the wearer’s back cool, along with a height-adjustable sternum strap and elastic pockets on the shoulder strap. The removable padded waist belt allows the optional Pro Speed Belt or Thin Skin Belt to be used in its place, increasing carrying capacity, stability, and functionality, and the bag is compatible with Think Tank’s separately sold Camera Support Straps.

Build quality includes a durable water-repellent (DWR) coated exterior with an additional polyurethane coating on the fabric’s underside for superior water resistance, along with mesh interior pockets and a seam-sealed rain cover included for extra protection in heavy weather.
