The FUJIFILM EF-W1 Wireless Commander is a dedicated radio-frequency commander unit that mounts to a Fujifilm camera’s hot shoe to control compatible off-camera flash units wirelessly. It uses a 2.4 GHz NAS (Nissin Air System)-based radio system to trigger flashes and adjust settings even when they’re out of direct line-of-sight, offering greater flexibility than traditional optical triggers.
It can remotely control multiple flash units (up to around 30) divided into several groups with up to 8 channels to reduce interference, and supports TTL automatic flash metering, manual power control from full down to 1/256 in 1/3 EV steps, and FP high-speed sync when used with compatible cameras.
The EF-W1 expands wireless lighting control for Fujifilm X-Series and GFX cameras when paired with compatible flash units (such as the EF-60 and NAS-compatible flashes), enhancing creative off-camera lighting setups. It runs on two AAA batteries and remains compact and lightweight for use in diverse shooting environments.
