The Canon Speedlite EL-5 is a professional-grade TTL flash designed for use with Canon’s EOS camera system, supporting Canon’s E-TTL II automatic flash exposure metering for consistent and accurate exposures across a range of shooting situations. It provides a high guide number output suitable for demanding professional and enthusiast flash photography applications, and the flash head tilts and rotates to allow bounce flash techniques off ceilings and walls for flexible light shaping. A built-in 2.4GHz radio wireless system allows the EL-5 to function as both a master and remote unit within Canon’s radio wireless flash system without requiring a separate radio trigger, and optical wireless compatibility with Canon’s existing optical wireless system is also supported. High-speed sync extends flash usability beyond the camera’s standard sync speed, and a multi-function accessory shoe on top of the flash allows additional accessories to be mounted simultaneously.
