Rent NowThe Nikon NIKKOR Z DX 16-50mm f/3.5-6.3 VR is a compact standard zoom lens designed for DX-format Nikon Z-mount mirrorless cameras. Covering an approximately 24-75mm equivalent focal length range, it provides wide-angle through portrait-length perspectives suitable for travel, landscapes, portraits, street photography, and everyday shooting.
Its compact, retractable design makes the lens particularly well suited for lightweight camera setups. The optical construction incorporates one Extra-low Dispersion element and four aspherical elements to help minimize chromatic aberrations, distortion, and other optical imperfections throughout the zoom range.
Nikon’s Super Integrated Coating helps reduce flare and ghosting for improved contrast and color reproduction when shooting in bright or backlit conditions. A rounded seven-blade diaphragm also contributes to smooth, natural-looking out-of-focus areas when working with shallower depth of field.
Built-in Vibration Reduction image stabilization helps reduce the appearance of camera shake by up to 4.5 stops, providing additional flexibility when shooting handheld or working at slower shutter speeds. A stepping autofocus motor provides fast, smooth, and quiet focusing performance suitable for both still photography and video.
The programmable control ring can be used for manual focusing and can also be configured to adjust settings such as aperture or exposure compensation on compatible camera bodies. Internal focusing maintains the lens’s overall length while focusing and contributes to responsive autofocus performance.
