Canon VIXIA HF R700 Full HD Camcorder (Black)

The Canon VIXIA HF R700 Full HD Camcorder (Black) lets photographers capture sharp and steady Full HD video by combining a 57x Advanced Zoom range with a SuperRange Optical Image Stabilizer, well suited to everyday family moments, travel, and casual event videography.

At the core of the HF R700 is a 3.28-megapixel Full HD CMOS image sensor (2.07 effective megapixels for video) paired with Canon’s DIGIC DV 4 image processor, delivering lifelike Full HD video with natural color reproduction, even in low light, thanks to the sensor’s extra sensitivity and on-chip noise reduction. The integrated Canon HD video lens offers 32x optical zoom (38.5-1232mm 35mm-equivalent), extendable to 57x with Advanced Zoom engaged (32.5-1853mm equivalent) or up to 1140x with digital zoom. SuperRange Optical Image Stabilizer helps correct camera shake even at full zoom, with Intelligent IS automatically selecting from four shooting modes to match the scene.

The camcorder records Full HD 1920 x 1080 video at up to 60p, saved in either MP4 (up to 35 Mbps) or AVCHD Progressive (up to 28 Mbps) format, directly to a removable SD/SDHC/SDXC memory card (sold separately). A Highlight Priority mode helps preserve detail in bright scenes, while Fast and Slow Motion recording options add creative flexibility for capturing action or creating dramatic slow-motion effects. An Advanced Baby Mode automatically selects optimized camcorder settings well suited to capturing a baby’s daily growth and movement.

Handling centers on a 3.0-inch capacitive touch panel LCD display, bright and clearly visible even outdoors in direct sunlight, letting users shoot, review, and navigate settings via intuitive touch controls; the camcorder has no viewfinder. Connectivity includes a mini-HDMI port, a composite A/V port, a microphone jack, and a mini-USB 2.0 port for data transfer and playback on an external display.

Build quality centers on a compact, lightweight, palm-held body, powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack (3.6V, 2685mAh), with an included compact AC power adapter, battery pack, high-speed HDMI cable, and USB cable.
