Flexible Camera Mounting
Beyond panoramic precision, a nodal slider also offers the flexibility to change your camera’s mounting direction by 90 degrees. Some tripod heads, particularly most gimbal heads, only allow front-to-back mounting of a quick release (QR) plate. If you’re using an L-Bracket or a QR plate mounted in a side-to-side direction, a nodal slider provides a simple solution, allowing you to attach your camera to the gimbal without needing to adjust your plate or L-Bracket.
