The Benro TTOR35C Carbon Fiber Tripod with GH2F Folding Gimbal Head is a small yet mighty, compact travel tripod system offering a high load capacity and remarkable stability despite its lightweight build. It’s well suited to telephoto lenses, spotting scopes, and other long-lens setups, as well as high-quality vertical video shooting for social media.

The tripod uses a center column-free design, making it nimble and lightweight for travel while reducing the potential for shake common to high center-column positioning. Its 5-section carbon fiber legs use ergonomic twist locks, with highly grippable collars that make opening and closing the legs fast and secure, along with an Auto-Hold leg trigger that lets photographers change leg angles with the push of a button and lock in the desired position. A lightweight aluminum leg spider includes 1/4″-20 accessory mounts for extension arms, monitors, lights, and other grip gear, along with a self-adaptive tripod head installation screw thread compatible with most ball heads, fluid heads, and gimbals.

Topping the tripod is Benro’s GH2F Folding Gimbal Head, a full-featured gimbal head with a unique folding design for compact storage and transport. The rotating arm features a dual Arca-type quick-release clamp and plate, letting it also function as an L-shaped quick-release plate with any Arca-compatible Benro tripod head, and it can be folded flat against the tripod to minimize the overall footprint for travel. The head offers 360-degree panning and 90-degree vertical tilt, along with an independent pan lock and a single bubble level for leveling confirmation, and 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 threaded accessory sockets for mounting microphones, monitors, or LED panels.

Build quality uses carbon fiber braided composite tubing for the tripod legs, with rubber feet and independent leg spread across 3 leg angle positions. The tripod extends to a maximum working height of 60.4 in. (153.4cm) without a center column, down to a minimum working height of 11.8 in. (30cm). The gimbal head alone weighs approximately 2.5 lb, while the complete tripod-and-head combination weighs approximately 6.2 lb (2.8kg) and supports a load capacity of up to 22 lb (10kg).
