To maximize power and conserve energy, the flash automatically adjusts its zoom coverage according to the camera’s sensor size (full-frame or APS-C). This revision offers significant improvements in continuous flash performance, delivering speed gains of 1.1 to 1.5x when self-powered on AA batteries, and up to 2.0x when paired with the optional CP-E4N Compact Battery Pack, along with new Quick Flash settings and a flash-readiness indicator that helps ensure priority shutter operation even when the flash isn’t fully recharged.
